Natural cheese dairy Tegernseer Land
In 2007, some of the Tegernsee dairy farmers founded their own co-operative. This gave them the opportunity to determine how the hay milk from their farms was processed and to market the resulting products regionally themselves. Achieving greater added value, strengthening traditional agriculture and preserving the local landscape structures - these were the declared goals. In 2009, construction of the natural cheese dairy, including a shop, restaurant and show dairy, finally began and production of the hay milk specialities started on 1 June 2010.
