Predigtstuhlbahn
The Predigtstuhlbahn has been gently and reliably transporting guests up Bad Reichenhall's local mountain since 1928. It is the oldest original large-cabin cable car in the world. It is still operated and maintained by hand. Genuine craftsmanship and tradition for over 94 years.
Within 8 ½ minutes, you will ride up to the 1600 metre high Predigtstuhl. Once at the top, a breathtaking panoramic view awaits you, stretching as far as the Wilder Kaiser. The mountain not only offers wonderful nature, beautiful hiking trails and tranquillity, but also excellent cuisine ranging from rustic to extravagant. The railway and the mountain restaurant are listed buildings.
All year round, the Predigtstuhl offers its guests a variety of gastronomic events and opportunities to hold festivities and seminars. Since 2019, there has been a separate registry office - the Beletage, which is located in the basement of the mountain station.
