Olaf Gulbransson Museum
The Norwegian Olaf Gulbransson (1873-1958) achieved international fame as a caricaturist for the legendary Munich satirical newspaper Simplicissimus and became one of the most perceptive portraitists of his time. He settled in Tegernsee in 1929. Here he created a work of human and artistic greatness that is one of the highlights of European drawing art in the 20th century. The Olaf Gulbransson Museum Tegernsee exhibits a selection of his caricatures, his rare oil paintings and an extensive collection of his book illustrations.
