The Hemmersuppenalm hiking area is just under a quarter of an hour by shuttle bus from the village centre, around 400 metres above sea level. Two of Reit im Winkler's premium hiking trails start here, and the extensive alpine pasture area is also ideal for walking. No cars drive here, cows graze here. Here, marmots whistle from boulders that lie between lush flowering alpine meadows. The view stretches far and wide, from the peaks of the Chiemgau Alps to Lake Chiemsee. The destination of the shuttle bus is the Hindenburghütte mountain inn, which invites you to stop for a bite to eat after short or long hikes, for cake, spinach dumplings or schnitzel. The alpine festivals and hut evenings with traditional Chiemgau music are particularly popular.
